Six months ago, on 14 May, the doors of the Giuriati Sports Center reopened to the public: a state-of-the-art sports facility available to the community of the Politecnic and the citizens of Milan, with a history that began over 90 years ago.
The Giuriati Sports Center, in fact, is the result of a project presented in 1928 by Luigi Lorenzo Secchi, an engineer from the Municipal Technical Office who graduated from the Politecnico, for the construction of eight sports fields in the suburban districts of Milan.
The photo shows the sports field in its original configuration, with the entrance from Via Ponzio and without the reinforced concrete stand built in 1933.
