At the Politecnico di Milano a group of philosophers and sociologists work together with researchers of mechanical, biomedical and management engineering to reflect on the ethical and social impacts of new technologies and to adopt a way of designing that is more conscious of the effects that innovation has on our daily lives.
Autonomous guide, biomedical wearable devices, such as smart bracelets and watches, crowdfunding for scientific research: these are three areas in which the ethical, philosophical and sociological reflection plays its role. Three projects related to these topics will be presented during the workshop “Etica e Tecnologie Emergenti” (Ethics and Emerging Technologies) on Monday 22 November, from 11 am, at the Aula Magna – Leonardo Campus.
