“Spesa Sospesa Nolo”, the solidarity initiative by Off Campus Nolo of the Politecnico, Nolo Social District and Radio NoLo Aps, has received a Special Mention in the 2022 edition of the Premio alla Virtù Civica “Panettone d’Oro”, awarded each year by the Coordinamento Comitati Milanesi – CCM.

“Spesa Sospesa Nolo” was recognised as an example of solidarity, community spirit and reduction of waste: every Friday, 20 parcels of fresh food are donated to fragile people in the neighbourhood; throughout the year, thanks to the donations made by the residents, the surplus stock recovered from the local market in Via Termopili and the help provided by many volunteers, it has been possible to help more than 250 needy people, distributing almost 1000 food parcels.
