The correct management of solid waste is a fundamental pillar of the circular economy, the strategy on which the European Union has aimed with particularly ambitious objectives. The recycling and recovery technologies, in continuous evolution, make it possible to attribute an important role to the waste management system in the material value chain and, consequently, in the mitigation of climate change.
Mario Grossi, environmental engineer and professor at the Politecnico di Milano, will talk about it in his speech.
