POLI-TECH STORIES: The science of stars and stones: introduction to Archaeoastronomy
12 May, at 7 pm – online event

Do the Pantheon in Rome, Stonehenge and the Maya temples have anything to do with the haevens? According to archaeoastronomy, yes, there are relationships between ancient architecture and stars and it is possible to discover them in order to have new opportunities of fruition and valorization of these works. Giulio Magli, professor of Archaeoastronomy, presents this discipline, considering two relevant examples: the Giza plateau, in Egypt, and the mausoleums of the Han emperors in Xi’an, in China.

In collaboration with Istituto Italiano Di Cultura – Dublino
