Researchers from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering participate in the video contest promoted as part of the ONE – Health Environment Society conference, organized by the European Food Safety Agency – EFSA.
The work of the research group of the Politecnico explored the application of human health risk assessment to account for multiple exposures to emerging contaminants (bisphenol A and nonylphenol) due to both drinking water and vegetable foods consumption. They highlighted how human health risk assessment, when performed inside a wide boundary, allows to prioritize contaminants and risk sources, pointing out research needs to fill knowledge gaps and supporting interventions for an effective protection of consumers.
