The Politecnico di Milano takes part in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem floor restoration.
The researchers from the Department ABC (Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering) acquired over 50,000 high-resolution images in order to implement the HBIM model of the floor, a particularly complex task because of the composite architecture of the building, also made up of rooms and underground stratifications.
The project was carried out by the research group MantovaLAB – HESUTECH from the Mantova Campus of the Politecnico di Milano.
