Politecnico di Milano: BAMBI: progettare un dispositivo domestico per le emorragie post-partum
The 99% of the deaths caused by postpartum haemorrhage occur in developing countries, in communities already fragile due to precarious economic conditions and made even more vulnerable by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

The BAMBI project aims to develop a low cost home-use device that enables correct effective management of postpartum haemorrhage at home, thus lowering hospital admissions and the risk of COVID for the mothers.

BAMBI is one of the 5 winning projects in the 2020 edition of the Polisocial Award, the initiative funded by “5×1000” pre-tax donations, that supports development of scientific research with big social impact at the Politecnico.
