The Politecnico di Milano’s Historical Archives are hosting a photographic exhibition dedicated to engineer Silvano Zorzi (1921-1994), on the centenary of his birth.
Zorzi was a leading figure in Italy’s post-war reconstruction during the 1950s and 1960s. Silvano Zorzi’s bridges, viaducts, tunnels focus on the form’s structural lightness and are characterised by an attention to placing the work within the natural and urban landscape. The photographs on display are part of the Zorzi Fonds (1947-1994).
The exhibition is open until Friday 21st May by appointment, writing to archivio@polimi.it
