Il Workshop, curato dalla Prof. Anna Moro, ha visto la partecipazione di oltre 40 studenti del Politecnico, che hanno sviluppato proposte progettuali innovative di Brand Urbanism applicate a spazi urbani fragili situati in prossimità di luoghi principalmente fruiti da bambini e ragazzi nelle aree di Villapizzone, Dergano e Maciachini a Milano.
I potenziali Playground urbani proposti dagli studenti puntano a riattivare gli spazi sottoutilizzati intorno alle scuole trasformandoli in spazi collettivi, ripensano i luoghi attrezzandoli con nuovi materiali, aumentano la dotazione di verde, valorizzando gli usi e le attività temporanee, già presenti nei contesti, riconducibili ad associazioni e reti locali attive rispetto allo specifico target di bambini e giovani, particolarmente svantaggiati dalla pandemia.

The Innovative Teaching Workshop “Urban Playgrounds. Designing around schools” has come to an end, the result of an agreement between the School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano and IGP Decaux.
The Workshop, curated by Prof. Anna Moro, saw the participation of over 40 students from the Politecnico, who developed innovative Brand Urbanism proposals applied to fragile urban spaces located near places mainly used by children and young people of Villapizzone, Dergano and Maciachini neighborhoods in Milan.
The potential urban playgrounds proposed by the students aim at reactivating the underused spaces around the schools, transforming them into collective spaces, rethinking the places by equipping them with new structures, increasing the amount of greenery, enhancing the uses and temporary activities already present in the contexts, ascribable to local associations and networks active with respect to the specific target of children and young people, particularly disadvantaged by the pandemic.
