Simone Barlaam è studente di ingegneria meccanica al Politecnico di Milano e campione di nuoto paralimpico.

A soli 21 anni, ha già conquistato sette volte il titolo di campione del mondo, otto volte quello di campione europeo e detiene cinque record mondiali; nel prossimi giorni parteciperà alle Paralimpiadi di Tokyo (24 agosto-5 settembre).

Come fa a conciliare la carriera sportiva e quella universitaria? Sicuramente grazie alla sua enorme tenacia, ma anche con l’aiuto del programma Dual Career, che aiuta i nostri studenti che praticano sport ad altissimi livelli a portare avanti con serenità e profitto sia l’attività sportiva sia quella didattica.

Simone Barlaam is a mechanical engineering student at the Politecnico di Milano and a Paralympic swimming champion.

At only 21 years of age, he has already won the world champion title seven times, the European champion title eight times, and holds five world records. In the next few days he will participate in the Tokyo Paralympics (24 August-5 September).

How does he reconcile his sporting and university careers? It is certainly thanks to his great motivation, but also with the help of the Dual Career programme, which helps our students who play sport at the highest level to pursue both sporting and educational activities with serenity and profit.
