The new climbing wall was inaugurated at the Polo territoriale di Lecco – Politecnico di Milano, in the presence of Professor Manuela Grecchi, Vice Rector of the Lecco Campus, and Antonio Rossi, Undersecretary with responsibility for Sport, the 2026 Olympics and Major Lombardy Regional Events.

The pairing between research and sport becomes increasingly strong at the Lecco Campus, where researchers of the Human Performance Laboratory are conducting research activities to investigate and characterize the performance of the athlete in sport climbing. Beatrice Colli, world champion in the Junior Speed speciality, is among the athletes involved in the activities.

Starting next spring, the new wall will host climbing courses for students, organized by the Sport Unit of the Politecnico.
