📣UNLOCK THE CITY! è un progetto sviluppato da una rete internazionale di teatri, accademie e università per riflettere su come il teatro e le arti performative, insieme alla ricerca scientifica, possano diventare uno strumento per ripensare il paesaggio delle città post-pandemiche.

Nel corso di 3 anni, 4 città (Anversa, Barcellona, Milano e Piatra Neamț) saranno coinvolte in un ricco programma di attività di ricerca e percorsi formativi, oltre che nell’ideazione di 12 performance, affidate a 10 artisti chiamati a investigare il concetto di “limite” da diverse prospettive all’interno del contesto urbano.

L’obiettivo di UNLOCK THE CITY! è quello di generare una crescita qualitativa e percettiva degli spazi cittadini attraverso la sensibilizzazione, l’empowerment e il coinvolgimento attivo delle comunità territoriali, degli enti e delle amministrazioni pubbliche.

📣UNLOCK THE CITY! is a project developed by an international network of theatres, academies, and universities to reflect on how performative arts, combined with scientific research, can become a tool for rethinking the landscape of the post-pandemic cities.

Over the course of 3 years, 4 cities (Antwerp, Barcelona, Milan and Piatra Neamț) will be involved in an extensive program of research activities and educational courses, as well as in the creation of 12 theatrical productions assigned to 10 European artists called on to examine the concept of “limit” in the urban context from different perspectives.

The aim of UNLOCK THE CITY! is to generate qualitative and perceptive growth of urban spaces through awareness-raising, empowerment, and active involvement of territorial communities, organization, and public administration.
