Inaugurata nella zona sud-est di Milano, in piazzale Ferrara, la nuova residenza universitaria “Marie Curie”, che offrirà 213 nuovi posti letto ai nostri studenti, di cui il 60% destinato ai beneficiari DSU. Raggiungono così il numero di 3.000 i posti letto in residenza offerti dal nostro ateneo.

L’intervento di recupero, per l’importo di 12 milioni di €, è un’azione di riqualificazione di un edificio ALER preesistente, che è stato concesso in uso gratuito trentennale dal Comune di Milano al nostro ateneo. È stato reso possibile grazie al finanziamento di Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca, Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, con il contributo di Comune di Milano e ALER Milano.

Politecnico di Milano’s new ‘Marie Curie’ student residence hall has been inaugurated. The building is located in Piazzale Ferrara, in the south-east area of Milan. It offers 213 accommodation beds for students and sixty per cent of its places are for DSU students. The project has brought the number of student accommodation beds offered by our University to 3,000.

The works enabled the renovation of the ALER Milano building, lent for use for 30 years by the Municipality of Milan to our University, free of charge. They are part of the overall redevelopment of the city’s fringe areas; total cost was to €12 million. The project was made possible thanks to funding from the Ministry of University and Research, Regione Lombardia and Fondazione Politecnico, with contributions from the Municipality of Milan and ALER Milano.
