In 1961, from May to October, Turin hosted “Italia ’61”, an exhibition celebrating the first centenary of the Unification of Italy. For that occasion, architect Carlo Casati, an alumnus of the Politecnico di Milano, designed the “Unity Pavilion” of the Exhibition of the Regions.

Today, sixty years later, the photographs of that project are preserved in the Historical Archives of the Politecnico di Milano in the Fondo Casati (1943-2004).
